Christmas Eve (12-24-2009)

On Christmas Eve, Grandma and Grandpa invited us over that afternoon for a movie and to read the Christmas story and sing happy birthday to Jesus, like we always do.  So, we headed over there for pizza and watched Santa Buddies.  It was a cute movie, but what cracked me up the most was that Brett got bored towards the end of the movie and left to do something else.  Grandma and I decided to make a Sonic Happy Hour run for slushes, so we left for abotu 20 minutes and when we got back, Brett and Matt were cuddled up on the couch watching some documentary about the pyramids.  Brett sat there forever and watched that silly show (which was so redundant it couldn't keep my interest).  He's an interesting kid...anyway, we had a great time, and when we got home, it was time for showers and time to get Santa's cookies ready (because let me tell you, Santa can't do without cookies!)...

My little Santas!

Cutting out the cheater Pilsbury Gingerbread dough that we never made houses out of this year!  Here's to good intentions!

Mom got to decorate because it was late and we needed to hurry to bed before Santa came! The kids told me what to put on each cookie, though, so they had some input...

And then we put our cookies by the fireplace for Santa!  And then Brett decided to leave a gift for Santa...it was too cute...

It says,

From Brett
To Santa

The real surprise is in here.

All in all we had a great day playing, making cookies, tracking Santa, and getting to bed before he came!
