My Boys...

So after all our youth adventures, I was ready to get back into hangin' with my boys. Jace and I built a "water clock" this morning, and Brett played in his sand box (yes, he's in his underwear):

Youth Conference '08

So, the weekend after my camp adventure, Matt and his stake people were in charge of youth conference. I got to go to a few activities (the first dance, skating, the last dance and the testimony meeting...thanks for all the babysitting, Eric!). Here are som pictures from the last dance:

Girls' Camp (Parkwood Ward '08)

OK...so it's been a while, I know! I had the opportunity to spend a night at our church's young women camp (for girls ages 12 - 18) a couple weeks ago. Let's just say I'm WAY too old to stay up 'til 2:30 AM! Had a good time, though! Here are quite a few pictures of our night (those of you Mormons from San Antonio might recognize a few faces):

Playing with Chuck!

So Chuck got to come visit again this week. We had a great time! One night we played his Star Wars Trivial Pursuit game, and I, shock of all shocks, I almost won! I was one pie away...then stinkin' Chuck got a run of some really easy questions and beat me...fitting really since he's seen those movies way more than I have!

Chuck came to play drums in a band for the HS where he used to teach. Here are some pictures of him tuning his drums before practice (Brett was on hand to "help" by testing out the base drum pedal):

Congrats to Jace: Super Citizenship Award

I forgot to blog it, but on the same day as his Field Day, Jace came home with a ribbon on his shirt proclaiming him "Super Citizen"! The award is voted on by teachers and peers, and there are two from each grade level for each 9 weeks. His name and picture are up on the Principal's Pride Board, and his name was announced on Friday's morning announcements. He is very proud of his award, and we are very proud of how far he has come this year. I have to say that he is a peace maker, always wanting to please everyone and helping those that need it (most of the time). He totally deserves this honor.
