End of the Year Picnic (05-26-2010)

This year for the end of the year picnic, we decided to drive to the zoo, take the train around to the Witte museum, visit the museum and picnic there and then take the train back to the zoo parking lot.  Well, unfortunately a tree fell on the tracks during a storm, so the train was not running.  So, we went straight to the museum not realizing that we couldn't get in until 10:00!  We decided to have a snack and play in the yard outside the Witte until it opened and then we went in and had a nice time there until lunch.  Then we ate and said our goodbyes!!!

Brett and his buddies outside the museum
Brett wanted Kade to see how big the T-Rex was compared to him so we had to take a picture to send to him!
Inside the Witte, we enjoyed the dinosaur exhibit
And the mock dino dig
Brett was the only one who wanted to watch the documentary (go figure) and he was a little small to pull this heavy ball up on his own!
Playing with science!
This was a cool electronic dodge ball type game where you had to not step on the moving targets.
And playing with the greed screen to see how the weather forcast works on the news!
Outside, they played with water...
And inside they learned about white light, phosphorus light, chemical light and laser light...
The picnic was fun, too!  Bye Mrs. Elliott!  We'll come visit!  :-)
